If you have diabetes, and you want to check if your diet is good for diabetes or not, ask yourself these 5 questions
1. Impact on Blood Sugar : How does your diet impact your blood sugar immediately post meal? Are you doing all you can in your diet to minimise the blood glucose spike after eating, your postprandial glucose spike?
2. Impact on Diabetes Pathophysiologies : How does your diet impact your pancreas health, how does your diet impact your insulin sensitivity? Is your diet worsening or reversing your body's insulin resistance?
3. Impact on Diabetes Complications : How does your diet impact your risk of diabetes complications? Does it increase or decrease your risk of diabetes complicatons?
4. Impact on Overall Long term heatlh : How does your diet impact your long term health, especially in terms of your risks of age related chronic diseases?
5. Is it Enjoyable? Is it Sustainable? : Even if your diet is currently optimal for controlling or reversing diabetes, would you be able to sustain it, are you enjoying it? Because if you don't enjoy your diet, you would not be able to sustain it.
